Pascal Rogé represents the very finest tradition of French pianism. His interpretations of Poulenc, Satie, Fauré, Saint-Saëns and, above all, Ravel and Debussy are distinguished by their elegance, beauty of tone and refined phrasing.

Born into a family of musicians in Paris, Pascal Rogé showed exceptional musical talent from an early age. Following distinguished studies at the Paris Conservatoire, he won several major prizes, including the Georges Enesco Piano Competition and the Premier Grand Prix at the Long-Thibaud Competition. His artistic and personal development was profoundly influenced by the pianist and mentor Julius Katchen, as well as by the legendary Nadia Boulanger.

At the age of seventeen, Pascal Rogé became an exclusive Decca Artist, beginning an exceptional association with the prestigious label and a recording career that would play a major role in establishing his international reputation.

Pascal Rogé has performed in virtually all of the world’s major concert halls, in solo recital, chamber music and with the world’s leading orchestras. He has collaborated with some of the most distinguished conductors of their generation, including Lorin Maazel, Michael Tilson Thomas, Mariss Jansons, Charles Dutoit, Kurt Masur, Edo de Waart, Alan Gilbert, David Zinman, Marek Janowski, Sir Andrew Davis and Raymond Leppard.

One of the most acclaimed artists of his generation, he has received numerous distinctions, including two Gramophone Awards, a Grand Prix du Disque and an Edison Award for his recordings of the Ravel and Saint-Saëns concertos, as well as the complete piano works of Ravel, Poulenc, Debussy and Satie.

In recent years, Pascal Rogé has developed a close artistic partnership with Spanish pianist Elena Font, with whom he performs regularly in four-hand and two-piano repertoire. Their collaboration has also extended to the recording studio, notably with Poulenc’s Sonata for Two Pianos, released on Onyx, and Fauré’s Dolly Suite, recorded for Decca.

In 2026, to mark his 75th birthday, Decca released Pascal Rogé – The Complete Decca Recordings, a 43-CD collection spanning more than five decades of recordings. The same year also saw the release of his new album devoted to Fauré. Alongside his recording projects, Pascal Rogé continues an active international concert career throughout Europe, the United States and Asia, with particularly close ties to Japan.

Passing on his musical experience to younger generations now occupies an important place in his artistic life. A visiting professor at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and the Royal Academy of Music in London, he regularly gives masterclasses throughout Europe, Japan and the United States. He is also frequently invited to serve on the juries of international competitions and has notably chaired the jury of the Geneva International Music Competition.

Pascal Rogé and Elena Font formed their piano duo through a common passion for sharing music and emotions.

Often side by side, sometimes face to face, they like to use their complicity to explore the different facets of their instrument and the richness of the intimate and poetic French repertoire, as well as the colorful and vibrant music of Spain — two worlds that perfectly reflect their sensibilities... and their origins!

Sharing the keyboard of a piano is a very special musical experience, which requires great intimacy between the performers and a deep understanding of each other’s personalities, but it is also an intense pleasure to exchange ideas, sounds and emotions to share them with the audience, thanks to two hearts and four hands.
